THE VERY MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF
ORGANIZING IS SUPPORT!
A “viable campaign” is one that has the
support of a majority of your co-workers. Ultimately, your
success is determined by first; winning the election, and
second; bargaining a good contract. If the employer believes
the group is strong and together, the better your chances
are for winning the election, and getting a good contract.
Some employers will fight an “organizing campaign” to the
end, but some may take a more neutral position. You have a
right that is protected by law, to organize a union at your
workplace.
If you would like to know
more about organizing a union at your workplace, or learn
more about how to become a "member organizier", please contact our organizing
department at 402-331-0550 Ext. 13.
